Position Summary:

A leading Dallas leader in the flooring industry, is seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Finance to oversee all financial operations and guide the company’s financial strategy. This executive-level position is responsible for managing cash flow, financial reporting, sales forecasting, risk management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of accounting experience, with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of industry-specific software such as RFMS. While CPA certification is preferred, we are open to candidates on a strong upward trajectory in their financial career.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Flow Management & Banking:

Oversee daily and long-term cash flow strategies; manage relationships with financial institutions and ensure effective treasury operations.

Monthly Financial Oversight:

Lead month-end close processes, prepare financial statements, and provide executive-level financial reviews and consolidated reporting.

Sales Forecasting & Profit Analysis:

Develop and manage forecasting models; analyze sales trends and gross profit performance to

support data-driven decision-making.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure full compliance with IRS regulations and other applicable financial and tax requirements.

Team Leadership:

Provide strategic leadership to the finance team, including two direct reports: the Billing Director and Accounting Director, with a total team of approximately 15 employees.

Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and proactive strategies.

Software & Systems:

Utilize RFMS, a flooring industry-specific software, to optimize reporting, billing, and financial

workflows.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial leadership
Demonstrated success in leading multi-functional finance teams
Proficiency with RFMS or similar ERP/accounting platforms
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills
CPA preferred but not required; candidates actively pursuing certification will be considered
Experience overseeing billing and accounting operations within a medium-sized team structure
Executive maturity and ability to collaborate across departments and with C-suite stakeholders
